The Meteor is New Zealand's leading black box theatre. It can be configured in many different ways making it ideal for innovative theatre, dance and concert productions. It also has foyer and exhibition spaces that can be dressed in a myriad of ways, making it ideal for small exhibitions, meetings and business functions.

Capacities vary depending on configurations and can extend up to 650 if required.

Recent events include The FUEL Festival of New Zealand music with acts like Minuit, Autozamm and Midnight Youth. Anika Moa where the audience was seated at tables.  In theatre style the biennial Fuel Festival of New Zealand Theatre, Ignition - Hamilton's fringe festival and Flaxwork's Theatre Murder by Chocolate.  Other events have included fashion shows, auditions, seminars and corporate functions.
